OK. What is valuable, inviolable, what can America stand for?

(Thanks for the example of pure scare tactics, BTW. Remember crop dusters launched off of cargo ships. The mushroom cloud. WMDs within 45 minutes of being used. Techniques of the ruthless, unprincipled power mongers.)

OK, your answer is no, those principles are not worth dying for. What principles do you think the US should uphold, should stand for, are worth dying for if not human rights, civil rights and the rule of law?

Simple question. I'll be curious to see how you answer it, what is truly valuable besides the principle of making a quick profit through any means available.

(Don't say "American lives" because Conservatives have thrown away in Iraq, for instance. Conservatives don't care if 50 million Americans don't have preventative medical care. American lives are not that crucial to Conservatives except as a propaganda matter. Let's at least be honest about the obvious.)

(An example. The bearing on the main crank on my bike went out. The bike mechanic asked if I had pressure-washed it. The answer was yes. He expressed surprise that I would admit it after the last warnings I'd been given about doing that. I told him that I would lie, but would prefer to save them for when they had a chance of being believed.)
