By the truth you mean something like:

b. often Truth That which is considered to be the supreme reality and to have the ultimate meaning and value of existence.

Supreme and ultimate mean the highest or most and not necessarily infinite or absolute.

Accordingly, if there is a higher meaning or value of life, that means there must be a lower meaning or value to life.

If there wasn't ever a possibility of lower meaning of life then that sort of puts a dent in the whole idea of Progressive.
[Not that I'm a particular fan of the progressive notions in general, but I think one should at least realize what this involves.]

It also means that all people who claim they found meaning in their life, must be delusional or lying- either of which is possible, I suppose.

And of course it means you might be wasting your time teaching what you might call values to children.

And why exactly do we outlaw slavery- there is currently 1 billion people living off $1 a day- buy some of them. Lawns need to be mowed. Trash needs to be picked up. Etc.

And boys torturing small animals for amusement shouldn't cause anyone any concern.
Killing prisoners could be a plan particularly when there is overcrowding. And Roman gladiators type events might draw big crowds.

And maybe honor killing does have some merits.

And maybe the Sun does need human sacrifice- it's dimming a bit isn't? No one really knows why. It might be safe until such time as we find out that is causing it. We could use human road kill.

The Nazi might of had a good idea in general terms, maybe the plan just needs a bit of adjustments guided by latest we know from science.

And what could possibly be wrong with idea of suicide bombers. We have something like more than 10,000 people per year committing suicide without being given any kind of reward for their services.
Some of these people could given money for their suicide- such as for their hearts in the sun sacrifice, or other tasks where one needs fools to kill themselves.
