Face it, this is simply a way for Conservatives to appeal to the basest of the base, for a political sideshow to demonstrate to the far, far right how tough they would be.

There is no way to work with these people. The next best option is to shove someone really progressive down their collective, squawking, "act is if we won the election" throats.

Obama won't do that, but it would be a delight. After all, there's Scalia and Thomas, Pinkie and the Brain, who demand some balance.
