Motivation to expose our warts comes from the fact that the idiots that produced such rubbish have been sent packing and that the message now is not that this is our current policy but that shining the light on things like this means we're less likely to go down that dark path again (at least in the near future).
If I might point out the obvious, the very same "message" results could have been obtained by simply not revealing the information at all. This is political, and the Left doesn't give a rip about what the information does to our foreign policy or our military endeavors. They never have.
The rest of the world is starting to get that message. Hell, even Cat Stevens is back on late night talk shows singing his old songs.
I'm glad Stevens is touring, but as for the rest? Good grief. Pull up the shades and look out the window. Iran, Hamas, al Qaeda, Taliban...how many of these have suddenly become smiling and peaceful lately?
"Religious offense" is nothing more than another weapon to radical Islamists, and they have a lot of useful idiots here helping them use it. The same radicals who wail about a Koran in a bucket murder Muslims by the thousands, stack weapons in mosques, and break most of their own commandments when it's convenient.
