What I keep thinking about...
There have been many instances where a person was justified in shooting someone in the course of a robbery and then the SOB lived and sued them for everything they owned. If I shot someone, would I want to take the risk that they could then take everything I've worked for? But the guy should have been smarter and shot the robber twice before taking out after the other robber.
As far as I'm concerned, when someone threatens you with violence in commission of a robbery, that person's life is forfeit. They had a choice, to rob or not to rob. The robber's choice, the thief gets the penalty.
