Aside from the political paranoia, which should set off alarm bells and light up the skeptic in anyone, this whole elaborate conspiracy hinges on the finding of chemical traces of explosives. How do we know this actually happened? How do we know someone just didn't make it all up in order to construct the rest of this fantastic structure around it? After all, we only have the conspiracy theorist's word for it. The other "evidence" is the unusual way the buildings collapsed. But this has never happened before, we can't say it was unexpected because we have no other incidents to compare it to.

It's a lot like the UFO or Bigfoot scams, some "expert witness" is paraded out that I've never heard of and suddenly I'm the one expected to refute their testimony. No, this story fails apart on every level:

1) there is no motive for any of this treachery, the plane attacks alone would have been all Bush needed to start a war, even if they had been unsuccessful, and we already know they happened and someone has taken credit for them.

2) organizing this building demolition project without someone noticing something weird was going on would have been impossible. And since nothing like this had ever been done before, there was no guarantee it would have worked.

3) It would have taken thousands of people working together to pull this off. How could they possibly have insured security? The twenty-odd hijackers left a trail. Even if they were able, would they have risked it with so many ways for things to go wrong? And if the plan failed, there would have been all sorts of incriminating evidence left over

4) What about the other two plane hijackings? How do they fit in to the master plan?

5) If Bush did this to have an excuse to invade Iraq, why did we waste time pussyfooting in Afghanistan? Afghanistan never had anything we wanted except Bin Laden. Bush could have put Saddam in the frame for the job right from the start and avoided the whole UN scene and the WMD fiasco, everything. After 9/11 the world knew we were pissed off and itching for a fight and had every right to feel that way. They were staying out of our way because they had no idea what we would do next.

6) And finally, was there ever anyone in the Bush White House with enough brains to be able to pull this off?

None of it adds up.
