re: NASA's future manned space program
"Humans" went to space. Been there. Done that. What we really learned (or should have)....
We learned what resources we consumed in the endeavor.
We discovered that if we spend all those resources accomplishing the simple tasks, there won't be any resources left to do anything more ambitious.
We realized that our fundamental biology, our image of ourselves, limits our progress.
We pulled back, as a species, for fear of losing ourselves, our identities, or each other.
We as a species, sit, huddled in the dark, wondering what to do, how to proceed.
