All three are or were alcoholics. Aldrin and Armstrong successfully confronted theirs and do not drink, Denver didn't have the same long-term success.

Armstrong is quiet about it now, was more public when he got sober. Aldrin, as always, rather likes publicity and is not at all reticent.
