"Once Upon a Time"

ER; The economy isn't some private playground where bureacrats and papershufflers can play entrepreneurial games and seek self-actualization and one-upmanship amongst their peers.

For most of 'Civilised' history, that hasn't been true.

The working dude has been a tool of the artificial economic system for centuries. It's the money men who have rigged the system, to their advantage. They've had several centuries of practice at it, so they're very, very good.

While we need them, the last decade or so has proven we need to watch them very closely. An awful lot of averasge citizens are looking the proverbial wold in the eye. And all those who screwed the system up, they ain't hurting too bad. Even now.

Yeah, I said that, and you know I'm somewhat right of you. Hell, of most peeps who hang out here.

Don't forget, to the denizens of that rarified world where the big money flows, it is a damned game. And they play hardball, for keeps. The wolves take the Hindmost.
