When I have a message for a true friend, I don't want to have to scribble it on his "wall" for the whole damn world to see. It's a private message from me to my friend, not a public statement for all of friggin' humanity to ponder...

Facebook appears designed for having lots of superficial, meaningless relationships with zillions of mere casual acquintances, not for having true friends.
