Competition to weed out stuff is better

There are probably too many launchers and too many nations making their own, but it is superior to have options and competition over the long haul versus a committee design to save over the short haul. The weak and too costly or unsustainable will be weeded out over time. Ultimately, I hope some private enterprise through profit bootstrapping is able to undercut all the government projects. Best of luck to ventures like spacex. We need a 747 for space more than we need a sr-71 blackbird.
