OTOH, cable is coming up with some half decent stuff. Nothing with that much quality but better than network programming for the most part.

I really enjoy The Closer on TNT. Bochco's Raising the Bar is a piece of junk.

SF's Eureka is a hoot and a half. I truly am fascinated to see what they come up with each week. Quirky and fun. Might have young people running for their on-line encyclopedias to see if this week's weird problem has any basis in science.
