I'm sure you are correct. After the initial shock, I got to thinking.

The items I'm plugging in are fused at 5 amps, max. NOT the socket. And if you say you can get that amperage out of them I guess you can.

The goody she cited looks as if that's about #16 stranded wire, which will handle a fair current, I wouldn't want to try starting a car with it, however. I'm sure that over time you could charge a battery, but I still don't think anyone is going to jump start it.
