It will be a 10 hour drive if we go the most direct route- but we plan to take a scenic route... renting a cabin in the path of totality and hope to beat the crowds to a mountaintop a few hundred yards from the centerline.
Thinking of buying a 360 degree camera to film it for my mother so she can see it in VR goggles if she cant make it out to it...
