ejecta might be much closer than 10 miles
The article says acidic waters covered the area except the crater, so maybe the ejecta would be too altered to study. On the other hand, maybe not, or maybe some pieces cracked open or weathered away the acidified portions in the subsequent billyoons of years. And I think the grinder still works on MER B.
Let's hope that right wheel holds up....
