ME ME ME!!!!!!
Went to visit relitives in Va about 4 yrs ago and it was on tour at a base in Va outside DC where they do research, duhh, anyway it was "restored"and they showed the capsule as it is today with the paint off of it and how the re-entry batts for the pyros and chutes ate away at the skin and upper bulkheads..really neat to see the LIberty Dimes he carried in the capsule as souvieners and the disclamer that Grissom never blew the hatch on purpose... Oh yeah, saw the capsule on July 20, 2005......WOW!!!!
