That's an Oil or Gas Field
Numerous distributed well pads, infield piping, a small refinery and tankage, and a couple of flare pits, including the dark oval-ish or hewxagonal one. Zoom in, you'll see the flare burning orange. It's a dirty sooty flare, depositing that dark crud. There's another gas-rich flare (cleaner burning) in the similar white ovoid feature up and left of the refinery.
