What Arguement?
That statistical risk should be used to prioritize how public safety funds are spent?
That research funds should be apportioned based on risk?
That adjustements should be made based on frequency and/or magnitude of risk?
Or that we are close to being on the right track?
Seems like you comment on doomsday is already covered by te second option to me.
I think we spend less on NEO detection now than on airline safety, but the projects coming on line and an orbital detection scope would certainly close the gap.
