re: A paucity of planets or published papers?

Not enough time has passed since early '07 to have a 3+ sigma confidence in any planet with something close to 1AU orbit; that would take 3 unambiguous orbital detections. Note that the only 7 stars published have planets in orbits measured in days.

Where are COROT's 1 month, 3 month, 6 month etc. orbital period planets anticipated by astrophysicists such as the one I cited in the 1st post??? Plenty of time to publish the papers and make the announcements for the "tens and hundreds" of anticipated but somehow unreported planets. Papers are the lifeblood of academic careers. The initial embargo (one year??? not sure with ESA) on COROT raw data may soon allow others not part of the team to data mine and poach the discoveries, if there are any.
