He is constantly funneling weapons to FARC (that rotting corpse of a one-time Marxist insurgency, now purely a criminal/terrorist mafia in the rural areas). Colombia complained, and Hugo posed as an offended victim of defamation; what a laugh.

Chavez did not rise from a vacuum, but from political lassitude in the Venezuelan voters' minds. They also had a corrupt two-party system, just like USA now. They voted for a salvador. Now he is an unseatable señor de la mafia. We can hope that he ultimately will be cut down by drug-dealers pissed off by his arrogancia.
