Extinction
Watched a feature on Science channel about the KT boundry and the Chicxulub impact. It seems there is some lively controversy as to whether it was more than one impact that finished off the saurians.
Some strong evidence that there was no spontaneous combustion of forests and no devastating acid rain following the Chicxulub impact. Dinos were already on the way out and it took two major impacts several hundred thousand years apart to finish them off. The long night is not in question and that was the major killer of species.
Nothing minor about impacts but is this another example of the scientific community exxagerating environmental damages resulting from external events?
