By that I mean the majority of folks who aren't into the space program like most people
are on this forum and other that you frequent?
Somehow I think you will have a better chance getting your message across to them
and getting them all rallied up to defend Earth against space impacts.
You know the people here are already in favor of not letting some big old comet or
planetoid hit Earth and wipe us out, but you continue to complain to these same
people as if it is somehow our fault that more isn't being done.
I know I wanted to see bases on the Moon in my lifetime, which would have gotten you
the CAPS system, but I had a feeling between the rotten economy and a President who
is being forced (?) to look elsewhere - plus the fact that we should never have trusted
anything set up by Bush - you won't have to worry about NASA space money being
spent on manned space missions to anywhere past LEO.
Maybe your Chinese friends will come through, but at the pace they are moving, 10
comets will hit Earth before they set anything up.

Do you ever talk to the general public about your concerns?
