DC-X a BNDO Project
Private company reliability is irrelevant in this context as DC-X was a government project run by the BMDO done on the cheap for $60 million dollars, that's 6% of the X-33 cost. DC-X had a series of test flights with only one proto (LOW COST $60m) vs X-33 which spent a billion dollars and never flew, or for that matter could not be built.
