Flags & Footprints space missions DO inspire people. But that's all they do. The people they inspire never have their dreams fulfilled. In reality, what NASA has done for the last 40 years is "misrepresent".
The performance of rockets is a known quantity. They'll never be cheap enough or safe enough for ordinary people, and there is no known technology that could. It would be better if NASA dropped the act, and quit making fools of us all.
I would like to see more telescopes. I don't want to hear endless speculation about the Drake Equation, or stupid statistical arguments about potential Earth impactors.
I want to KNOW, and you don't know until you look, and you should always look before you leap. Hell, there's a paradigm!
