I do not have all the optical information on it, the tube where the reflector mirror is, is about 113 cm., long and the opening is about 22 cm., across.
The eye piece that I was using first has the number 9mm on it, I also looked at the planet trough a 25mm eye piece, I saw the same effect in both views, though the size of both the planet and the effect seemed smaller with the other lens.
The effect was like looking at a comet tail or a cloud.
It would not surprise me if the effect was caused by dust on the mirror, though the effect seemed to respond to the movement of the scope and the focus at the same rate as the planet that I was looking at.
Looking at the moon, the craters looked very clear.
This is a very interesting hobby.
