It seems to boil down to who you trust.
For instance, if it were Bush I'd be outraged. Bush did a superb job of teaching rational people that he wasn't trustworthy, that he had an agenda which was inimical to most Americans.
For Obama it doesn't disturb me so much. He hasn't lied to lead us into a war of imperialism, hasn't acted in ways which are detrimental to the rule of law and democracy.
Seems that simple.
