The Republicans would hand them the perfect rallying cry for 2018: "It's not too late to save health care! Take back Congress! Repeal the repeal!".

And seriously, the Democrats are starving for a clear, simple, easily-articulated cause. Something to wash the nasty taste of neoliberalism [ptooie] and corporatism [spit] from our mouths.
