Its only a matter of time before Japan starts building its own nuke.
If they haven't started already.
America should be proud of its post-war occupation of Japan. Even though we flattened the country and killed millions of its people, even with nuclear weapons, our occupation was for the most part benign and honorable. We introduced democracy, re-established their industry, and allowed them to re-enter the community of nations as an economic powerhouse. They cast aside their own warrior traditions and chose the path of peace under our protection.
But I believe they are having second thoughts.
