They should be condemned and ridiculed for the rest of their lives. It's not a matter of vengeance, or even justice- it is a matter of deterrence- the same reason we executed Nazis after WWII.

Future generations need to know that succumbing to racist, fascist desires comes at an extreme cost... Those that do so will be treated like the disease they are.
