"In the absence of proper government, the strong will always take from the weak."---Chris Hayes.
I kind of favor the Scandinavian Social Democracy model. I always thought that was how New Zealand was organized.
Actually I haven't got anything against Capitalism. It is self-regulating, ruthlessly efficient, and harnesses people's ability to innovate, take risks, and their determination to succeed. I believe its a fine system, and no government should ever forbid its citizens from participating directly in the economy, or interfere with them when they chose to do so. You just have to watch them like a hawk.
Its just capitalists I don't trust. As Nikita Khruschev once put it; "All grocers are thieves." Regardless of what they may claim publicly, the last thing any businessman wants is to have to compete against others like himself in a truly free market. They claim their raison d'etre is to serve their customers and provide work for their employees, but I suspect they only have contempt for both. They only truly admire people just like themselves.

Actually, I kind of like nanny states.
