I wish that had been my excitement for the week

My wife was on travel to New York to work on her family home she rents out, and of course THAT is when her appendix decided to get terribly infected... during the pandemic we allowed ourselves to get down to one working car which she had, so I had to scramble to find a rental car to take one way up to New York, and a place to keep the dog...

She is fine, but it was close... it had just started to rupture by the time they got it taken out... it was lucky she didn't wait any longer to go to the hospital.

So its been a few days of desperate scrambling... we are fine and got back home late last night...

I am relieved the launch went well, I was involved in the early days of the project, but have been on other projects after the initial build was completed. Had it failed (and it still needs to go through a lengthy checkout, so keeping my fingers crossed- it has a lot of components and glass optical fibers that had to survive launch stresses) it would mean a lot of re-planning and changing of schedules and priorities leading to a lot of uncertainty.
