I wonder what I am missing?
I mean, I am pretty sure a bodice, not being a common item of clothing these days, is fairly pricey... I would think going around ripping them is NOT going to be viewed favorably by the fairer sex...
I just looked it up... and to my eye it looks like attempting to rip one would have a high chance of injury to one, or perhaps both, parties... I would think if one was set on attempting the feat, it would make sense for both parties to wear- at the very least- eye protection.
I am imagining what the safety office approved procedure for bodice ripping would be at my workplace... it would involve all sorts of protective equipment, would almost certainly prohibit it being ripped while being worn by another employee (maybe acceptable if its a contractor?), it would require that it be observed by a safety officer to make sure it was being done according to the 30 page procedure... checking off each step which then has to be initialed by the ripper and rip-ee...
It hardly seems romantic, and it seems like an awful amount of paperwork....

You know, I am not entirely sure what a bodice is- but I am certain I have never ripped one...

- To be fair, I bet this is actually some 1st rate tongue-in-cheek satire.
