I do read the NZ papers on a regular basis. But everyone I met was friendly, I think I saw all of one homeless beggar, the big cities were clean, and the views unsurpassed. And, I am well informed that they have the best pies.

It's one of the few places I'd like to wear out a tourist visa, maybe ask for asylum?
