We must keep the supply up to meet market demands...

Perhaps, with enough work- and fertility drugs for women of child-bearing age- we could even become a leading exporter of babies- trade them for commodities like Tea from England, cars from Japan, oil from Saudi Arabia, cars from Japan, beef from Brazil...

What is the going rate for a baby these days?

Of course we would have to supply high quality infants- that would mean providing pre-natal care, food, housing, and medicine for the breeding stock-er, I mean 'Ladies'... but with profit at stake I am sure the GOP will finally support such 'handouts'.

Maybe we could selectively breed babies for different tasks to make them more highly valued, and fetch a higher price on the market.

All this would be decided by the free market, of course... whatever the market will bear.

It could be the most profitable course is to simply stockpile them here as an endless source of impoverished cheap desperate labor that won't complain about things like needing a living wage, or workplace safety... maybe reduce the supply if needed by having a few bloody wars- those are always profitable... Or GOP politicians could use them as the boogeyman to scare middle-class voters that 'the lazy poors' are coming to steal their property and jobs...

Yeah, now that I think about it, that's probably what we will do.

Ain't capitalism grand?! It just automatically sorts everything out for the best.
