Now, don't get me wrong, adoption is a wonderful thing. Give a child a better life? Yes, a thousand times, yes.
I know many adoptive families. Adoptees from around the world, including Russia. Long story there, not a good story.
We considered it; but made our difficult choice not to.
In my observations, the Christian drive is to indoctrinate more Christians. Actually, that's in the book. Okay, that's fine with me, raise your children as you see fit, adopted or not. Unless they are getting abused. I'd raise mine as scientists. I'd teach them every religion. Teach them to decide for themselves. Your call.
However, it has become an industry. Money to be made. Political and religious axes to grind. It's part of a counter to the "replacement theory." If we cannot have tons of children to raise as soldiers of Christ, we will be over-run. And the grifters, as outlined in the above articles, have discovered that not only can they achieve their sociologic goals, they can make some sweet cash doing it. Win-Win!
