That any small town cop is a coward- the high-school bully that failed upwards...
A thug with a badge and a gun and a strong desire to use both against an unarmed citizen... That chose the job to extend his vocation of bullying, and now gets the perks of the job while avoiding all the responsibilities.
And he knows that no matter what he does, he can get away with almost anything...
I have dealt with enough of them to know that was certainly the case in small-town Oklahoma. They are generally the laziest and most contemptible people you will ever meet.
The percentage of police officers that abuse their spouses and/or kids is ~4x higher than the general population....
When hiring for the job they select for lower IQ...
But its just 'a few bad apples', right?
