What is all that taxpayer bought gear for?
It's cosplay. They've got armored vehicles for god's sake. What is that for? What situation? They've got their vests and extra ammo, and all those stupid patches to do what, exactly? Hassle tourists passing through town for a bad tail light? Sure, they'll take down an unarmed kid who twitches wrong. But someone shoot at them? Nope.
They did training in this exact school a few months ago. I'm sure that was fun and they got to play warrior for a Saturday and have some beers afterwards.
I watched Columbine live as the police stood around looking tough.
