Replace Homie with Tom? I hate anything that sounds like referring to oneself in the third person. :)
I remember when "Right On" became a pop exclamation. For a long time I thought it was "Ride On". I still think that sounds cooler.
Some old favotites of mine are "not my cup of tea" and the very corny "let's make like a tree and leave". "Let's blow this joint" used to be cool but it sound gay these days.
