Ultimately vaccines are paid for

by taxes and/or borrowing.

I read an article that the rest of the world would not pay so little for medicine if the USA didn't pay so much. Our high costs for healthcare are paying for the R&D for new drugs and treatments, and the rest of the world reaps the benefits but not the bulk of the costs.

Kind of sucks ass imo.
