Not surprised
Spielberg's movies, and even TV series like Skyfall, are formulaic to a fault. I haven't seen the movie but I would have bet it is the standard Spielberg mold: Good humans, bad humans, probably some good aliens, certainly some bad aliens, a little 10 year old kid (or two) who is deeply involved in the fight/meeting/defeating with the aliens.
Maybe I'll be wrong and it will surprise me.
