Re: How to get corporate America to invest its record trillions in cash in jobs

Outstanding!

Now why didn't I think of that? Of course, the "job creators" would rather actually create jobs than lose it in taxes. Don't think of it as punishing them for being greedy, but as rewarding them for being generous. Just think, they'll actually be able to "write off" hiring people as a legitimate business expense, instead of hiring lobbyists and media propagandists.

It's all so obvious and yet so simple. Of course, you'd expect them to say just the opposite; but it all makes sense. Giving someone a tax break for investing in an industry or process or upgrade is obviously the same thing. It is equivalent. You're telling them "You can either give me your money now, or I'll let you buy new equipment, expand your facilities, hire employees, do R&D etc. instead."

You tax corporate profits heavily, so businessmen either give to charity, expand or upgrade, or otherwise, plow it back into the economy. In return, you can cut capital gains taxes a bit to cut the losses for the stockholders and compensate them for lower capgains. Everybody wins!

I can't wait till our conservatives chime in on this.
