Tom, if it isn't taxed, he doesn't HAVE to invest in order to save it from the taxman. He can put it in his bank in the Caymans, instead, or try to leverage it further in some inflationary bogus stock derivative. These guys are not about to risk money in low-return investments when it is already safe from taxes and can be stashed away. They have to be persuaded. That's always been the purpose of extravagantly high taxes, not to raise revenue, but to get people to put their money to work instead of hoarding it.

The whole point of this exercise is that the Flemmings of this world are sitting on their tax-free loot, NOT "creating jobs" with it. They have no intention of redistributing their wealth, either through taxes or job creation. They are hiding it.

What I can't figure out is why you're so determined to let them fleece you, and even so eager to help them do it. They don't need you any more TB.
