Aw nuts, part 2
I was replacing a fan on a logic board, and when I tried to disconnect the wire harness connector, the little plastic connector socket itself popped off the board. So here I am with a connector socket with busted wires (about a nanometer thick), a fan, and four very, very, very tiny spots of solder on a very, very expensive board.
I have no idea where I'd get a new connector. Even so, I would need a trained flea with a very, very, very tiny soldering iron.
I have a couple of ideas, but all involve melting those tiny spots of solder to get some kind of conductor in there. Without melting any of the billions of other solder connections on a modern logic board, which I assume were originally made by dark sorcery.
Wish me luck.
