No government job pays more taxes into the system than it uses up. Think about it.
If I add a million jobs where the salaries come out of the taxpayer, and let's say each employee pays 25 percent of that back in taxes, how many more private sector jobs would have to be created at the same tax rate to just break even?
Remember the great year 2000 surplus economy you never get tired of telling us about? How large was the Federal budget in 2000? I'll save you some trouble. Adjusted for inflation, it was a trillion dollars less than this year's.
