We've got 9% unemployment. We've got one job for every five people unemployed. This is not the time to throw more people out of work, thus not only shrinking the tax base, but swelling unemployment benefits and reducing overall consumer demand - which causes more layoffs, thus repeating more of the above.
If the economy was booming along like it was in the late 90s, THAT would be the time to cut government. Not during a time when businesses aren't investing in the economy, and consumers are not spending.
The Ron Paul plan would send the nation and world into a depression. You think about it. Stop reducing a complex system into a simple arithmetic formula.
