Not to get off topic or anything, but you do know we started the War of 1812, don't you? Not that we didn't have sufficient cause but we DID start it. If we hadn't they'd probably still be impressing our people into THEIR Navy. Not to mention the other shit they were doing.
Mention the War of 1812 and a Canadian will quickly remind us that we invaded THEM. LOL. And burned the White House. Of course, then I remind them we kicked their asses into the Gulf of Mexico. It can get to be a lively discussion. I just love Canadians. They have their own version of the "Battle of New Orleans" song and it ain't pretty.
