I interpreted the "tragic" post as best I could, and it seemed to say that an underlying cause of this attitude was military spending instead of pumping our money to schools in China to teach them how to be nice. If I'm wrong, clarify.
The idea that our morality is the problem is what's absurd, if not outright obscene. We did not create the Chinese culture. What we're trying to prevent is that set of ideas - far deeper than politics - from infecting our own country.
This is what happens in our culture, just a very recent example. Here's another.
No nation on this planet has done more selfless good for the rest of the world than ours has, by any conceivable measure.
And frankly, I have had it up to my eyebrows with people shitting all over it.
