On the other hand,
there may be a silver lining in a military culture that starts routinely punching the tickets of the leaders while the rest of us sit back and watch on TV. Be a refreshing change from most of history.
I think one of the things that has made war so easy for world leaders is that they sit back and move things around on a board. Having their skin in the game won't end war - there were wars even in the age when the king rode in the vanguard - but it might discourage a few.
