First it is you who need to do some reading. The term race isn't the proper one, but subspecies is. While we are all a part of the Human species, just like in every other species there are clear subdivisions. The most diverse group of Humans genetically are Africans, This due to the fact that they are descended from the oldest line of Humanity, therefor they've acquired the most mutations within their genome.

Many genetic diseases are confined to certain groups. Sickle cell for Africans, Cystic Fibrosis for Europeans, Tay-Sachs in Semetic peoples are but a few examples of ethnic based disorders. Genetic studies into twins and male/female behaviors show that genes play a vital role in how we think and behave. Studies are now beginning into what effects race may have on such traits.
