I might as well add my two cents worth.
Lee is the uncivilized one here (next to Ed, whom I fear is more anti-social).
His hatred is obvious, his sense of omnimportance grating (like that word?) and his reasoning defunct. For example:

If we could only get him to drink it after he was finished........
